As retailers stock up ahead of the holidays, the falling prices may now become the new normal. This could mark the beginning of the market’s stabilization. In addition, middlemen have pushed up prices in China by hoarding and speculating on container units amid strong demand and tight supplies, exporters say. Shipping costs have become one of the biggest problems facing the Chinese supply chain, with prices of low-cost goods rising.
